Freeze!

Time: 4:36 pm
Place: Office Desk, Kolkata

A distant Bengali conversation
Kit kits of the keyboards
Carpenter work in a nearby room
2 coffee cups and empty ‘Marbles’ packet in the dustbin
A purple Faber Castell pencil, notepad, stray sheet of paper, bag, untouched bottle of water on my desk

Here I am…

…back to the City Of Joy!

Heights!

I don’t mind working on weekends if the situation needs it…
But having to wait for 5 hours for a call with no work to do until the call  is ridiculously frustrating!

Scribble

It’s been a long long time since I have blogged. This world somehow manages to keep me busy. That’s the way it is meant to be though and good for it! What did I eventually do all this time. Looking back…
I went home for a week! Yeah a full week! It felt great to be back home for such a long time especially for Christmas. It had been almost a year since I spent a week at home. Home – the very place where I spent the first 18 years of my life. How much can one’s life change. I never even had an iota of thought that I would work in Chennai and lo here I am already 5 years old in this tamil speaking, sea facing, humid and homely city.
Been to the book fair? Yup I did yesterday. But somehow I felt weird. Back in my college days I knew what book I was looking for and would browse each of the stalls to buy one. But this year I was blindly going around undecided on what book to buy, given that I already have 3 unread book lying at home and one of them being from the last year’s book fair buy. Realization dawned on me after I walked emptily through half the book fair and immediately decided on buying two books: Maximum City (I picked this book last year but had to let it go for ‘The man who knew infinity’) and Calvin & Hobbes, and landed up buying only the former as the latter was way too heavy on my pocket-but one day I would surely get the whole collection-Calvin’s so cool!
Pongal (the harvest festival) has come and gone without any sign. In the good old school days we had 3 days off which meant three days in front of the tv and kites. Though I don’t know how to fly them I, at one point of time collected 20 kites just to keep them safe and throw them away in the cleaning season. But this time it came and went in a blink!

Looks like the new year has got quite much for me. Let’s wait and see! :)

And looks like even wordpress has changed! Nice!

Adios!
